Sala
A fun fact that not many people know about me is that I’m a very proud plant dad. I’m slightly obsessed with my variegated Monsteras, and every time I travel to teach, I worry about them more than I probably should! The hardest part of being away isn’t the flights or the jet lag, it’s knowing that some of my plants might suffer because I don’t have anyone to care for them the way I do. I’m also a huge Star Wars fan, and somehow I’ve managed to find a balance between living a healthy lifestyle while still being an old-school techno raver at heart. Before piercing became my career, I played in a band and even made a living surfing, so my path to this industry has been anything but ordinary.
What I love most about piercing is that it’s so much more than creating beautiful piercings. It has given me a life I could never have imagined. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel the world, teach, learn from incredible people, and build friendships that have become family. After more than 25 years in this industry, I feel incredibly grateful for everything piercing has given me. That’s why I’m so passionate about education, mentorship, and helping our community grow. I truly believe that the more we share our knowledge, the stronger our industry becomes, and giving back to the piercing family is one of the most meaningful parts of my career.

About me:
Hi, I’m Aldo! I’m originally from Rome, Italy, but I’ve called the UK home for the past 15 years and am now based in North Wales. I’ve been piercing professionally since 2018 and I am proud to be both an APP and UKAPP member. I’m also part of the ACES Supply Pro Team and work using a fully disposable setup.
What I love most about being a piercer is helping people express themselves through body art. I also love sharing knowledge with fellow piercers and helping raise standards across our industry through education.
Fun fact: Outside the studio I’m a complete geek! I’m a lifelong Star Trek fan, obsessed with Tolkien’s world, can hold a conversation in a bit of Klingon and Khuzdul, and every Wednesday I swap piercing needles for dice as the Dungeon Master for my D&D group.
About my class “Don’t Fear the Septum”:
Septum piercings are one of the most requested procedures in our industry, yet they’re often surrounded by uncertainty and intimidation. This class is designed to help piercers build the confidence to approach them with knowledge rather than fear.
Together we’ll explore nasal anatomy, placement techniques, jewellery selection, and practical tips that can make even challenging anatomies feel more approachable. We’ll also debunk common myths, discuss frequent mistakes, and look at troubleshooting strategies to help you achieve consistent, safe, and aesthetically pleasing results.
Whether you’re performing your first septum piercings or looking to refine your technique, this class will give you the understanding and confidence to approach every septum with a clear plan and the skills to adapt to the anatomy in front of you.
