Piercing Studio Terms and Conditions
Piercing and Jewellery Fitting Services
All services at Bold and Gold Piercing Art are available for persons ages 18+ Those aged 14-16 years are welcome for ear piercings only, ages 16-17 are welcome for ear, nostril, lip, septum and eyebrow piercings only.
All clients will be required to provide valid photographic identification to prove you meet the age requirement and any client age 14-16 will be required to have a parent or legal guardian present at the appointment with correlating photo ID to prove the relationship to the client.
Piercing, Consultation and Jewellery Fitting Booking fees
Booking fees are required to book any of our piercing and jewellery fitting services.
Booking fees will be requested upon the booking request being made either online, via phone or in person.
Booking fees are calculated at 100% of the piercing or fitting service fee only.
Booking fees; Upon services being rendered, will be used as a reduction from the total amount of the piercing, consultation, jewellery, fitting services, and any additional products charged to the client on the day of services being carried out.
Booking fees are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
Failure to pay the booking fee will result in no booking being made.
Our Piercing, Consultation and Fitting Service Fees
Our piercing service fees cover the act of piercing of the skin and is inclusive of basic implant grade jewellery as standard.
Our piercing service fees are fully payable and non-refundable, the client is liable to pay all remaining charges before leaving the studio including that for any additional goods or services not covered by the booking fee.
Our consultation service fees cover the cost of our time, professional advice, and overheads.
Our fitting service fees cover consultation and the act of jewellery installation only, jewellery is not included.
Our fitting service fees are fully payable and non-refundable, the client is liable to pay all remaining charges before leaving the studio including that for any additional goods or services not covered by the booking fee.
Failure to pay for goods or services once in progress or complete will result in Police Scotland being called.
Voucher Sales
Voucher sales are final and non-refundable.
Vouchers must be redeemed in full by the valid date stated on the voucher.
No change will be given on vouchers, only credit to be used by the original valid date.
Jewellery Sales
All jewellery sales are final, jewellery is strictly non-refundable, and non-exchangeable.
In the event an item has been fitted or used in conjunction with a piercing service, the client is liable to pay any and all remaining charges in full before leaving the studio.
Failure to pay for jewellery once it is fitted will result in Police Scotland being called and a theft being reported.
Jewellery Reservations and Custom Orders
All jewellery reservation fees are final, non-refundable, and non-transferable.
Once client has paid initial instalment to reserve an item(s) whereby a contractual agreement to purchase jewellery is made, the client is liable for full payment of the item on or before the end date of the contractual agreement.
The client may not alter the items reserved or ordered as detailed in the contractual agreement after the initial instalment is paid.
Failure to pay in full by the contractually agreed date will result in all instalments being absorbed by the studio as compensation and jewellery will remain property of the studio and may become re-available for commercial sale.
Our right to refuse or defer service
We reserve the right to refuse or defer service for anyone who cannot provide valid photo identification to prove they meet the age requirement.
We reserve the right to refuse or defer service based on client failure to arrive on time for services booked, with anything over 10 minutes being subject to potential refusal.
We reserve the right to refuse or defer service whereby a person fails to, yet is required to because of medical history, provide official documentation stating they are in a healthy mental and physical state to receive a piercing service.
We reserve the right to refuse service based on any inappropriate or anti-social behaviour being displayed towards members of or visitors of our studio.
In the event of any unwanted anti-social behaviour or physical contact towards members of the studio events will be reported to Police Scotland immediately.
Cancellation, Rescheduling and Refunds Policy
Piercing and Jewellery booking fees are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
A minimum of 24-hours notice is required to request rescheduling for piercing and jewellery fitting services.
In the event of a reschedule request exceeding the 24-hour notice period, the booking fees will be honoured and carried forward to a future booking.
In the event of cancellation, no-show, a reschedule requested inside the 24-hour notice period or a late arrival resulting in services being refused or deferred, the piercing/jewellery fitting booking will be void and any booking fees will be fully absorbed by the company to compensate for inconvenience to the schedule and to cover any administration costs.
Piercing, jewellery fitting fees and jewellery sales are strictly non-refundable after the service and/or sale is complete.
Vouchers redeemed against a booking will further be referred to as the booking fee and terms of cancellation, rescheduling and refunds will apply as stated above for tattoo, piercing, jewellery fitting services and service fees.
Exceptions
The integrity of all jewellery sold by the studio is guaranteed to be free from manufacturing faults for life.
In the event an item of jewellery has experienced breakage, the client may arrange to return the jewellery to the studio for inspection and potential replacement or repair.
If the jewellery is damaged as a result of a manufacturing fault there will be no charge to the client for replacement or repair where possible, the client may however, be liable for any shipping fees in this circumstance.
Lifetime guarantee does not cover jewellery lost, stolen or damaged through mishandling. If on inspection an item has been damaged as a result of mishandling the jewellery manufacturer may still be able to repair or replace the item for a charge.
Replacement or repair can take up to 16 weeks.
In the circumstance of cancellation of the booking by the operator, the booking fee will remain property of the operator and be carried forward to a future appointment.
If an appointment cannot be offered to the client within a month of the cancellation by the operator a refund may be requested.

Tattoo Services

Tattoo Booking fees
Booking fees are required to book any of our artists tattoo services.
Booking fees will be requested upon the booking request being made either via phone, email or in person.
Booking fees for tattoos are set by the individual artist and will be determined by but not exclusive of design size, detail, placement.
Upon services being rendered, booking fee will be used as a reduction from the total amount of the tattoo service.
Booking fees are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
Failure to pay the booking fee will result in no booking being secured.
Tattoo, Consultation and Design Service Fees
Tattoo service fee covers the act of having a design tattooed into the skin using permanent ink only.
Tattoo service fee is fully payable and non-refundable once the service is in progress, the client is liable to pay all remaining charges before leaving the studio.
Tattoo service fee does not include the rights to the design, this remains property of the artist who is free to use this again for future clients, unless contractually agreed otherwise.
Tattoo consultation services may be charged by the artist.
Failure to pay for services once in progress or complete will result in Police Scotland being called.
Voucher Sales
Voucher sales are exclusively between the artist and client.
Vouchers are non-transferable between artists as each are independent of each other.
Vouchers must be redeemed in full by the valid date stated on the voucher.
No change will be given on vouchers, only credit to be used by the original valid date.

Our studios provide clean, safe, inclusive environments for anyone who wants to express themselves through body art, we encourage you to be authentic to your own style when looking to create your new aesthetic and own your bodies autonomy.
Both our studios take hygiene, yours and our safety seriously, so we ensure all our team members hold valid council licences to practice, first aid certification, and do yearly blood-borne pathogens training.
